A Powwow is... | Feb 1, 2007 |
@Islam A powwow is a meeting in one particular area to dance, sing, socialize, and generally have a good time. They can last up to one week but probably not this one REF: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pow-wow
Cristina, the date is set already to Sunday, 4 March 07.
Midnight might not be the best time, even if powwows are tribal gatherings. Needs to be refined. Afternoon time again, such as 1300?
A clear where and schedule please | Feb 15, 2007 |
So, we all 'd know where to go to and when... Thanks. See you all there!?! Cheers

Lovely. So it's Sunday 4th of March at 13:00. All that remains to be established is... location. Where do we meet btw?
OK, suggestion | Feb 15, 2007 |
13:00 will do fine! I'll try to post a suggestion on the location by tomorrow... (Maybe somewhere around the Docklands or so?!) Cheers
Hello again, I 'd propose meeting at 13:00 either in the pub "The Gun" in the Docklands - London (http://www.fluidstyle.co.uk/venuedetails.aspx?venueID=18405) --> 27 Cold Harbour, Blackwalls, Docklands, London, E14 9NS or otherwise I'd suggest meeting at 13:00 or 13:30 in Watford, which is about 25 miles to the north of Central London and which is my (second) home town. So, please reply or confirm asap.... Extreme locations | Feb 15, 2007 |
Both proposed locations are somewhat extreme. London is a big place, so to be fair we should be meeting somewhere central.
Personally, Watford would suit me but probably not many others.
Any suitable central locations?

Yes.. please, could we meet somewhere central, I am new in London so I'd like to find the place relatively easily.. In the end the main thing is to meet.. the place doesnt have to be anything that special. I am sure you guys know nice places in London, I would propose something if I knew the city better. So.. I trust you.

Dear All
Apologies for the radio silence from the organiser.
My proposal is to book at table at a Pizza Express in the centre of London.
I think a central location is the only fair way of managing this. Also, the menu is reasonably priced.
There is a large restaurant opposite Charing Cross Station where we can book a table.
Please indicate whether you are interested.
Best regards

Maureen Wilkins (X) United Kingdom Local time: 16:48 French to English + ... Count me in for Pizza Express | Feb 16, 2007 |
Hello Simon, An excellent suggestion of venue - I know this restaurant and it's easy for everyone to find. Please count me in, I look forward to meeting everyone.
Glad to see the reactions and location | Feb 17, 2007 |
Hello and welcome back Simon and other esteemed colleagues! I'm glad to see the recent movements on the location and stuff. I surely didn't have any intention to go imposing things or something like that; just trying to get somewhere. And tho' I personally do not consider the Docklands to be really far from Central London and/or difficult to find or get to... But OK, Pizza Express at Charing Cross it shall be then? Still at 13:00? I wish you all a nice weekend and I'm looking forward to meeting ... See more Hello and welcome back Simon and other esteemed colleagues! Sarah Gall (X) France Local time: 17:48 French to English Sorry I can't be there | Feb 18, 2007 |
I know now that I'll be in France on Sun 4 so will be unable to join you all. Keeps happening but I hope I really will be able to attend the next one. Recent family events mean that my life should be easier to organise from now on! Have a great powwow...
