Translation - English Beijing is exploring and studying multiple rail transit modes to solve the problem of traffic congestion. At present, to overcome the construction limitation of metro, Beijing is studying to build straddle-beam monorails (which are similar to ‘small sky-trains’) in urban areas, and especially in the areas that are connected to city center. The alignments are under consideration.
In the city government’s work report, suggestions on curing ‘urban diseases’ and continuous improvement on public transport condition were put forward. Representatives of the Municipal People’s Congress (MPC) resonated with these suggestions. This morning, delegates formed groups to review the city government’s work report. During the process Mr Wu Hongjian, MPC representative and Chairman of Beijing MTR, expressed that the government is organizing studies on world advanced transport operation and construction, researching the straddle-beam monorail, and has partly solved the problem of restricted metro construction in certain existing areas.

Source text - English No Party shall be obligated to make any contribution to the JVC’s registered capital or any loan or other contribution unless all of the following conditions has been satisfied or waived, in writing, by both Parties:
a) The Business License has been issued;
b) All Ancillary Agreements have been duly executed by the parties thereto and become effective; and
c) The JVC was awarded with the first bid.
The Parties shall procure that the respective directors appointed by them shall resolve the signing of all Ancillary Agreements within twenty (20) Business Days from the date the JVC obtains the Business License and the Chairman shall forthwith sign and ratify all such Ancillary Agreements. The Parties agree that if any of the above conditions precedent under this Article 5.2.3 has not been satisfied or waived by each Party, then neither Party shall have any right whatsoever to require any other Party to make any contribution to the registered capital of the JV Company or to require any other performance of the Contract or to claim any damages from the other Party in regard to the failure to contribute its share of the registered capital.
