See more Hi everybody, My client asked me about translation in QUICKSILVER software (something like Photoshop or InDesign). https://broadvision.com/products/quicksilver/quicksilver-overview/ Format: .ildoc They made user manual in this software and then save as PDF. I wanted to try to open the file they sent, but I can't download this software. The support has just answered that they don't have a demo version and they don't sell the software to new customers any longer. Does anybody know what can I do in this situation? Is there any other software? Probably somebody can share this app with me? I will reimburse the expenses, rent it, so to speak. Thank you in advance.

Hi Hans, I've checked the document on 273 page. Interleaf/QuickSilver To save an Interleaf document in ASCII format... There is no information about how to open. I've downloaded Deja Vu X3. It is impossible to open .ildoc document. Also, I've tried WinDjView. There is no results as well.
You’ll need QS | Feb 6, 2021 |

Interleaf ASCII Then create an XLIFF in Déjà Vu and translate it in your preferred CAT tool. It goes like that? Open QuickSilver Convert the file to Interleaf ASCII Open Déjà Vu Convert the file to XLIFF Open the file in any CAT tool Right? But in this case the client will get the xliff file. How it could be converted to Quicksilver format. After the delivery they need to check translated file, maybe edit something and then save as PDF. Or there is a way to convert it back? XLIFF->Interleaf->QuickSilver

Use DV to export the translated XLIFF to ASCII. Client has to import this in QS.

Check if it is ASCII | Feb 8, 2021 |
Check with a text editor if the file is in the ASCII format. It could be that the extension is still 'ildoc', while the file format certainly isn't binary but ASCII.
