Ili, "položaj pri protoku", ili "položaj pri zaustavljanju" (od termina "Flow position" i "Stem position" - koji se koriste, gotovo, kao sinonimi za ove termine). To jest, za termin "Fail open", koristi se sinonim "Air to closed", a za ovaj drugi termin "Fail closed" koristi se sinonim "Air to open" (ili, "Open pressure" - protok vazduha pod pritiskom"). Mislim da bi moglo „otvoren u slučaju otkaza“ / „zatvoren u slučaju otkaza“, ali mi kraća verzija (otkazno - otvoren / otkazno - zatvoren) ne zvuči baš lepo jezički.

Takođe, mislim da je i predlog kolege Lončara u ovim ranijim KudoZ pitanjima korektan: „normalno otvoren“ / „normalno zatvoren“ upravo znači da je ventil otvoren/zatvoren kada nema signala ili dejstva (pritiska) vazduha.
