Espero que me puedan ayudar con la traducción del término "stay-put" dentro de un documento de educación especial de Estados Unidos. Hay otro foro sobre el término en ProZ, pero la respuesta no me parece adecuada en este contexto.

Contexto: "Please be aware that the educational placement and services made available during any period of COVID-19 closure are not *stay-put*, and upon termination of the school closure, your Student’s *stay-put* Individualized Education Program (IEP) in effect before the COVID-19 closure shall serve as the school district's obligation to make available special education and related services until a new IEP is developed that receives written parental consent".

Entiendo que se refiere a que los sevicios y el lugar donde se puso al estudiante en cualquier momento del período de suspensión de clases por COVID-19 no son los definitivos (en el sentido de que no son donde necesariamente el estudiante va a quedar permanentemente). El IEP actual, el que estaba en vigencia antes del cierre por COVID-19 es el que tendrá validez y se le deberá ofecer hasta que se determine uno nuevo (que se vuelva a evaluar al estudiante.

Explanation:
Por lo que entiendo, quiere decir que toda acción educativa mientras duran las medidas por la COVID tiene un carácter transitorio, en contraste con la programación "fija" (como he propuesto; quizá haya una mejor palabra) que existía antes de la crisis.
