English term or phrase: absolutely gas
Hola a todos,

I am translating an excerpt from an Irish novel which has very colloquial, conversational language typical of Ireland. "Gas" in this sense obviously does not mean the substance but rather the personal trait of being extremely hilarious and good banter, which we use a lot in Ireland. This is the first sentence of the prologue,

‘Your one Aisling is absolutely gas, isn’t she?’

Im hoping to replicate the colloquial, conversational tone and style of the text so I was hoping someone could suggest a functional equivalent in the TL,

I was thinking ‘Esa tía Aisling es graciosísima, eh?’

Gracias de antemano!

tronchante // superdivertida
Explanation:
Opción para España en el mismo registro coloquial:
- "Esa Aisling es tronchante ¿no?"

También se puede utilizar "tía", pero hay que separar "tía" de "Aisling" para que no se confunda con el parentesco:
- "Aisling es una tía tronchante"

tronchante
(familiar) ADJ hilarious, killingly funny
