The word is indeed "soiro", not "suiro", and is commonly rendered in English construction terminology as "stud" (which may be made of any number of materials). So, "plywood stud" should fit the bill here (see e.g. D.S. Gromal, Light-Frame Wall Systems: Performance and Predictability, p. 13 at https://www.srs.fs.usda.gov/pubs/rp/rp_fpl442.pdf).
