Hebrew term or phrase: הורות מיטיבה
Hi, I'm looking for the professional English term for הורות מיטיבה, preferably not in the context of some specific method recommended by someone's approach (such as seems to me that "benevolent parenting" is, but a generally accepted term in psychology/education, just as הורות מיטיבה or סביבה מיטיבה לילד are used generally in the relevant literature.

Many thanks in advance!

Here is just one example of many contexts for the term:

Positive/Good Parenting
Explanation:
If you were to ask about a specific term in a specific context, I would have answered something more specific (since it might be a very complicated term (in psychology, psychoanalysis, education and coaching, it really depends). But as a general saying, within a general context, I would either use Positive Parenting or Good Parenting, depends on the context.

Benevolent Parenting seems too specific to me, and might imply on a specific orientation. It is not a bad suggestion, but if you aim to avoid a specific orientation, hinting at a specific (i.e.) psychological field, I don't know if Benevolent is common enough.

On the other hand, Positive Parenting, which is associated with Positive Psychology, is now a very common term, widely used, not always in that specific orientation. Good Parenting, although somewhat "watered down" (and less preferred since it might sound a bit of a judgement) might also be a common use, and is not associated with any specific doctrine, but it might sound less professional.

Thank you, I agree with your reasoning and find the answer most usable in various contexts without, as you said, going too specifically in a particular educational direction or trend. Much appreciated!

Asker: I'd like to thank Reuven for taking the time and making the effort to research and reply to my question. I really appreciate it and it added to the discussion by showing its complexity while connecting to many terms in use by the professional community, illustrating the difficulty of actually locating an accurate translation for the exact term הורות מיטיבה.

disagree  Sergio Kot: Authoritative would be סמכותית, certainly not מיטיבה and even the opposite. None of the referenced parenting styles comes even close to "מיטיבה". "Authoritarian is סמכותי in this context." - Sorry, I don't follow the logic of your response.

-> If you read the article in the link and look at the term as it is used in the specific context, rather than just translating the word literally, out of context, you will see that it is precisely the required term. Authoritarian is סמכותי in this context.

disagree  Omri Ofek Luzon: Two different things, completely differentiated both in theory and meaning...
