adjournment of the session Explanation: I did find the verb phrase in a multilingual Canadian glossary of parliamentary terms, which shows the following: English: adjourn a meeting French: lever la séance; clôturer la séance Spanish: levantar la reunión; levantar la sesión Portuguese: levantar a reunião; encerrar a reunião The source is: Terminology Bulletin Bulletin de terminologie Boletín de ...www.bibliotheque.assnat.qc.ca › AffichageFichierPDF levantar la reunión; levantar la sesión levantar a ... the adjournment motion (pl.) débat sur la motion d' ... abrir a reunião, abrir a sessão; declarar aberta a sessão. I suspect the term is rare in Portuguese, but the glossary supports the fact that it exists, and it's the term that the Asker is stuck with finding an English equivalent for. |
