Following a BA in Modern European Languages at the University of Durham and an MA in Interpreting and Translation from the University of Bath, I spent five years working as an in-house translator split between two different translation agencies. This allowed me to gain a wealth of translation experience, particularly in legal translation as my second in-house position was with a leading legal translation agency. In my last in-house position, I also held the role of quality manager meaning that was responsible for dealing with client queries and maintaining the company’s quality control system. I am used to producing large volumes of work within tight deadlines, whilst still ensuring that high levels of quality are maintained at all times.

I have been working as a freelance translator since October 2011.

I have experience of translating a variety of texts, but am particularly familiar with the following subject areas: legal, business, marketing, general medical.
