I have been translating full-time since 2013. I completed an MA in Translation and Linguistics that year and before that I obtained the IoL Diploma in Translation. I studied part-time for my qualifications while looking after my daughter who is now of school age, allowing me to develop my career as a translator. Prior to that, I worked as a property solicitor in a London firm for 13 years. I also ran our department's know-how meetings and wrote for the Estates Gazette (the leading magazine in the property industry). I have a comprehensive knowledge of English legal terminology and am improving my knowledge of French legal terminology. While I specialise in the legal field, my translation experience also covers promotional material (including tourist brochures and website content, and product descriptions and taglines) medical texts, operating instructions, technical specifications, academic articles (in the field of psychology), and general correspondence. I am passionate about punctuation and grammar, hugely enjoy the research and drafting aspect of my work, and am very responsive.
