Bio

I’m an enthusiastic Mexican translator and content creator constantly striving for excellence and to provide my clients with the best quality translations and excellent turnaround times. I have been working as an English>Spanish translator since 2005. I hold a BA in English Modern Literature - Majoring in Literary Translation. My fields of specialization are: Literature, Software/App Localization, Science-Technology and Health and Fitness (focus on Nutrition). I also have a background in Graphic Design and Programming Languages. However, throughout my professional career I have had the opportunity to successfully deal with all kinds of materials; from marketing campaigns and clinical trials to children's books.

Being my father a biologist, from a very young age I've been fascinated by sciences. I have always admired the noble effort that minds like Asimov, Sagan, Bronowski and Kaku, among many others, have done to make science more accessible to everyone, so in parallel to my undergraduate studies I completed several courses on science popularization and scientific writing in order to get in-depth knowledge of how these kind of texts work and thus be more capable of handling them for translation.

Other areas in which I have experience include:

• Videogame & Apps localization
• Subtitling
• Journalism
• Gastronomy and Culinary Arts
• Safety Procedures & Equipment
• Copywriting
• Travel & Accomodation
• History and Philosophy
• Research
• Social Media
