Bio
I come originally from Slovenia, but live since 2010 in the Netherlands, Amsterdam, where I moved to live with my partner.

My three passions have always been art, languages (as keys to open the door to understanding different cultures, worlds, people...) and movement.

I have an International Baccalaureate (in Philosophy, Biology and History, besides Slovene, Maths and English as the basic subjects) and a University diploma in Architecture. During my study I worked in the field of architecture in London and in tourism related events in Croatia and Italy. I have been also often simultaneously translating on dance and therapy workshops of the University of Ljubljana.

My fluency in Italian language comes through living for over 15 years right next to the Italian boarder and having learned it in school for over 8 years.

I learned Portuguese during my study exchange in Universidade Technica de Lisboa (IST), Portugal in 2003 - through a language course and project work in school. That year I got intensely involved with capoeira – the Brazilian martial art/dance/ritual that propelled my interest into Brazilian culture, history, tradition, art, language, poetry... Followed a 2-month trip to Salvador, Bahia – Brazil, I founded (on my arrival back to Slovenia) together with friend ‘Mandinga – an association for promotion of Brazilian culture and capoeira’. I was guiding the association for 2 years (until my leaving to Holland) and in that time I was regularly translating SL-PT/PT-SL texts and workshops.

I am currently working in the fields of arts and translation in Holland and internationally.
