Patent translation

I translate all manner of patent-related documents – claims,
full specifications, office actions, notices of opposition, grounds for appeal,
EPO or national court decisions – covering all your validation, foreign filing
and litigation needs. I have particular expertise in the fields of medical devices, mechanical engineering, chemistry, robotics and textiles. Having
translated literally thousands of patent documents, I’m well aware of the need
for pinpoint accuracy and consistency. So, your translation and your

Medical translation

I translate a range of different documents required by the
medical profession, including clinical trials, patient information leaflets,
clinical summaries, market research materials, medical reports

Revision

In addition to translation I also regularly
revise and/or proofread already translated documents, which involves not only
checking the translation for accuracy and grammar, spelling and punctuation errors but also checking that the right register and
terminology has been used. Revision may involve making suggested amendments to
a translation that the original translator can then accept or reject
accordingly and is preferably a collaborative process.

Editing

As English is used as a working language for professionals
in many countries of the world, I also offer editing services for texts written
by non-native speakers in my areas of expertise.
