Source text - English Kaposi (Arch. f. dermatologic and syphilis) shows from eleven cases, that lupus erythematosus (Hebra) is not always a mere local disease, running an exquisitely chronic coarse and ending either with perfect restitutio ad integrum or with flat-cicatrized atrophy of the skin, but that it may also appear as an acute eruption with more or less fever, drowning, into coaffection the whole organism, and that these acute efflorescences may reappear several times. As local manifestations he cites: (1) Hard-doughy painful nodes, of short duration, on the place where efflorescence of lupus erythmatosus appears. (2) Oedematous swelling of the joints and their surroundings; after a few days efflorescence of lupus erythmatosus appears. (3) Boring, rheumatic pains, worse at night in the tubular bones and large joints and (4) Erysipelas, a dangerous complication, especially with women.
Translation - Russian Капоши (Arch. f. dermatologic and syphilis) на примере одиннадцати случаев демонстрирует, что красная волчанка (Hebra) не всегда представляет собой локальное заболевание, которое носит острый хронический характер и в результате наступает либо полное выздоровление кожи, либо плоская рубцовая атрофия. Однако, иногда это заболевание представляет собой так же обширное возникновение сыпи с повышением температуры или без неё, вовлекая в заболевание весь организм. Так же высыпания могут возникать в последствии снова несколько раз. Клиническую картину локальных проявлений он описывает так: (1) На месте высыпания красной волчанки возникают плотные болезненные рыхлые узлы. (2) Через несколько дней после проявления красной волчанки происходит отёчное опухание суставов. (3) Появление сверлящих ревматических болей в трубчатых костях и крупных суставах и (4) Особенно у женщин, как результат осложнения заболевания – рожистое воспаление.
