Bio
Worked in business, financial, economic area. Mainly contract work with international organizations. On US Department of State, IMF, OAS and IDB rosters.

Worked extensively in Germany, USA and Argentina in my specialist area (business, finance, economic).

And now an update ... after many years working in the translation field, I have decided to hang up my boots in this area on an active basis and have recently co-authored a book soon to be published. I love translating and will continue my involvement but my intention is to dedicate more time to writing and putting onto paper the experiences of 55 years of a multicultural existence.

It's rewarding and very satisfying to render ideas and thoughts from one language to another and help transfer knowledge and I will continue to do so but my active translation days are a fond memory and I am now concentrating on putting what I have experienced into semi-autobiographical form.

Still enjoying helping to transmit ideas and terms and the translation bug that bit me years ago has still left a lot of its juices in my bloodstream so will keep on travelling in this wonderful world of language and hope that my efforts will give a push to everyone still active in the arena :)

Still involved and keen to follow the fray (which it indubititably is) but glad to be out of the arena and happy to keep my input coming for whatever good it brings.

My gladiator days are over but doesn't mean I won't look in on the fray and throw an idea or two or three when the bug bites me :) Now working on my next book and making headway but still keen on translation and helping people along their way.

Translation is an art form and requires a multitude of skills, including comprehension at various levels, a sound command of at least two languages, the ability to transfer the thoughts of the originator of the idea, not to mention catch the tone and content of what is being transferred. No easy task! So hats off to all who endeavour to satisfy these tough requirements and be assured that you are providing an essential service. Without the Rosetta Stone, the legacy of Egypt would have remained a mystery and it all goes to the credit of the translators who did the job.

Second book in the final stages but still needs some tweaking and still following the wonderful road of transferring thoughts conceived in one language medium to another. A passion that burns brightly and hopefully will remain aflame.
