Jabberwok - There are multiple actions and technologies being used to execute these events. I know this will be a bit confusing - but here goes. When you register for the event, you can (and you did) enter your real name (I double checked for you). When you register for the event, you can (and you did) enter your real name (I double checked for you). This data is specific to each event registration and is what is used/passed to exhibitors when you visit their booths. When "expressing interest" in an outsourcer, you have an opportunity to enter your name and contact details - this name/contact is what is displayed to the outsourcer as "applicants". Of course that outsourcer can still click to your profile and will see your site name.
So, yes you can enter a real name instead of your site name, and in both the exhibitor view, and outsourcer view, they will see that real name...if you have entered it.
