I am a native Japanese freelance translator and a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (MITI). I am currently based in Brighton, UK.


I specialise in Marketing copywriting, transcreation, adaptation and subtitling. I also translate a wide range of business and retail related contents, documents, tools and materials. For other fields, please refer to my Expertise (Specialty & Working fields) above. I have worked as a full-time translator & copywriter for the last 17 years. 


I am an experienced CAT tool user and can deal with various file formats. I have also worked with several global teams using clients' custom own CAT and CMS tools. I am a self-starter but also a good team player and happy to work as a part of a big team or project.


I am also committed to my own CPD and knowledge sharing with other linguists. I am one of the founding members of Brighton Language Collective where local translators and linguists share the working space in the central Brighton and organise various social and professional events and activities. I also acted as a judge for ITI Japanese Network (J-Net) Translation Contest in 2016, 2017 and 2018.


I take the quality of copy/translation very seriously and I always care about readability and target audience. And I have never missed my deadlines.
