Source text - English Greece is currently labouring under a bastardised form of the sort of structural adjustment programme the International Monetary Fund imposes on developing countries. The difference is that the classic IMF remedy is devaluation plus domestic austerity, to ensure gains from a cheaper currency are not frittered away through higher inflation. Greece (and the other bailed-out eurozone countries) are expected to do it all through an internal devaluation – cuts in wages and public spending designed to reduce costs and boost competitiveness. This, though, takes a lot longer and can be self-defeating if the domestic economy contracts more rapidly than exports expand. If this happens, as it has in Greece, the debt problem gets worse.
That's why critics of the current bailout argue that while Greece would suffer severe transitional costs from a go-it-alone strategy, the choice is between a deep V-shaped recession and a decade or more of permanent depression.

When breathable air is available so freely and in such quantity, it would be redundant to demand that breathable air be freely provided to all, in sufficient quantity for the needs of all. What you have, you can easily take for granted, and ignore. There’s just no need to make a fuss about it. You breathe the freely available, broadly breathable air, and you get on with your day. The air is not a subject. It is not something that most of us want to discuss.
Imagine, now, that somewhere up there you might find a giant set of faucets, and that the air we breathe flows from those faucets, hot air and cold air and tepid air from some celestial mixer-unit. And imagine that an entity up there, not known to us, or perhaps even known to us, begins on a certain day to turn off the faucets one by one, so that slowly we begin to notice that the available air, still breathable, still free, is thinning. Source text - English There has been no such expansive setting for nuclear technologies. Their history has for the most part been one of concentration not expansion, of options being closed rather than opened. The history of nuclear weapons has been defined by avoiding their use and constraining the number of their possessors. Within countries they have concentrated power. As the American political commentator Gary Wills argues in his book, “Bomb Power”, the increased strategic role of the American presidency since 1945 stems in significant part from the way that nuclear weapons have redefined the role and power of the “commander-in-chief” (a term previously applied only in the context of the armed forces, not the nation as a whole) who has his finger on the button. In the energy world, nuclear has found its place nourishing technophile establishments like the “nuclear village” of vendors, bureaucrats, regulators and utilities in Japan whose lack of transparency and accountability did much to pave the way for Fukushima and the distrust that has followed in its wake. These political settings govern and limit what nuclear power can achieve.

Source text - Portuguese A seca é um fenômeno natural e físico que ocorre com certa regularidade no Nordeste do Brasil. A compreensão reducionista da problemática da seca associada à falta de água facilita a naturalização dos efeitos sociais da seca. O artigo objetiva discutir as implicações da seca na vida de moradores de uma comunidade rural nordestina. A metodologia foi quantitativa com a aplicação de um questionário em uma amostra de 207 sujeitos, moradores da Comunidade da Canafístula (Ceará). Como resultado, obteve-se que 87,9% dos participantes passaram por alguma seca, o que impactou na falta de água para o consumo humano e animal, nas perdas na produção. A insegurança quanto ao futuro, sentimentos de desânimo e tristeza, fatalismo e desesperança apreendida aparecem como implicações psicossociais da seca. Destaca-se a importância da desnaturalização do fenômeno da seca e da análise dos seus impactos objetivos e subjetivos na vida das comunidades rurais.

Translation - English Drought is a natural, physical phenomenon that occurs with some regularity in the Northeast of Brazil. The reductionist understanding of the drought issue associated with the lack of water facilitates the naturalization of the social effects of droughts. The article aims at discussing the implications of the drought in the lives of residents of a northeastern rural community. The methodology was quantitative with the application of a questionnaire in a sample of 207 residents of the Canafístula community, in Ceará. As a result, it was found that 87.9% of participants have faced drought, which has impacted on lack of water for human and animal consumption and on production losses. The uncertainty about the future, feelings of discouragement and sadness, fatalism and apprehended hopelessness appear as psychosocial implications of the drought. The importance of denaturalizing the drought phenomenon and analyzing its objective and subjective impacts on the lives of rural communities is emphasized.

Resumo
Com as novas formas de ingresso nas universidades públicas do Brasil desde 2010, devido à implantação do Sistema de Seleção Unificada (SISU), é comum alunos de outras cidades migrarem para frequentar determinado curso universitário. Essa nova realidade das universidades públicas brasileiras deve ser estudada por diversas áreas do conhecimento. Este ensaio teórico pretende discutir como a utilização das ferramentas psicodramáticas pode auxiliar nas possíveis dificuldades enfrentadas por esses alunos: dificuldades adaptativas, de ansiedade, pedagógicas etc. A metodologia utilizada é a pesquisa documental e teórica. As sugestões de atos psicodramáticos expostas neste trabalho não se esgotam em si, mas deixam uma proposta para uma intervenção psicodramática. Entende-se que seria interessante uma intervenção multidisciplinar e, por isso, instiga-se a participação de diversos profissionais na empreitada para favorecer uma boa vivência dos relacionamentos dos alunos universitários migrantes com o meio acadêmico e com as pessoas que frequentam a universidade.
Translation - English Student migration to attend federal institutions of higher education: psychodramatic contributions
Abstract
Since 2010, when new forms of admission to public universities in Brazil were established due to the implementation of the Unified Selection System (SISU), students have often moved to other cities to attend university. This new reality in Brazilian public universities should be studied in different areas of knowledge. This theoretical essay aims at discussing how the use of psychodrama tools can assist these students to overcome potential difficulties, such as anxiety and adaptive or pedagogical problems. The methodology used was documentary and theoretical research. The suggestions of psychodramatic acts presented in this study are not exhaustive, but rather a proposal of psychodramatic intervention. A multi-disciplinary intervention is indicated, hence the participation of different professionals in fostering good relationships between migrant students and the academic environment is encouraged.
