Bio

Japanese, English, Russian, Swedish speaking video game translator and passionate gamer with 5 years exprerience in game industry.

I've started working in game industry almost 5 years ago, beginning with small translations and LQA testing, and ending up becoming a translator and publishing editor.

Experienced with multiple CAT-tools, such as Trados, Memsource, Memoq, SmartCat and other, I'm ready to work with any tool my client asks, even if it's manual work with Excel tables.

I have many big projects behind, such as Ni No Kuni II, big Square Enix titles and work on some famous Blizzard games.

Since my school times I've been a huge fun of computer games, and thus I have a view upon my work not only as a translator, but as a gamer also. My most-played and favorite genres ( but not all I'm familiar with!) are RPG and MMORPG. Favourite games: Lineage 2, Aion, The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, Oblivion, Dragon Age 1,2, Disciples 2, Genshin Impact, Overwatch, Final Fantasy series, Don't starve together, Hearthstone and many other.

I'm a Russian native speaker, and Japanese was my major in university. I became a winner of Japan Ministry of Education scholarship (MONBUKAGAKUSHO: MEXT) in 2014, and studied Japanese for one year in Nara University of Education. In 2018-2019 I worked at Active Gaming Media Tokyo office as a translator and LQA tester. I have a business level of English and JLPT N1 certificate in Japanese, and an experience of living in authentic language environment.

I've worked a lot as a freelance translator and developed a very self-organized and responsible personality. Moreover, I care about teamwork very much - my teams are always friendly and ready to co-operate. I'm proud and never tired to be inspired to work on creation of exciting and magical game worlds.
