English term

The Chinese Liberation Army's Air Force

English to Chinese Tech/Engineering Military / Defense organisational name
I need the precise formulation as spelled in Pinyin (without diacritical marks, unfortunately) of this organisation. All I have is the dubious Wade-Giles rendering "Ching-kuo Min Taie-Fang-Tsun Pu-tai"

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Mar 7, 2004:
I may well have ... this is from a 1980s Soviet source and is in Cyrillic... If I trusted it, I would not have asked the question here.

Ok, seems we have a tautology with "kongjun" and "budui". Is there no official formulation or something equally "hard"..?

Did you miss any thing in this phrase? Looks like not complete.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you. I assume the "Budui" in question be part of the formal name, otherwise the Russian would not have had "Pu-tai" in it -- it all ties in nicely."

Zhongguo Renmin Jiefangjun Kongjun

Kongjun means air force, no need for "Budui"

Hi Mr. Skipp, it\'s a pity I went to bed too early yesterday evening. You really don\'t need Budui. the \"kong\" means air and the \"jun\" Means Force. Budui means particular military units. If you can consult any dictionaries, English-Chinese, or Chinese-English. You will find Kongjun=Air Force. Lujun=Land Force(here \"Lu\" means land. Good Luck!
