Of 'profielstiksel'.
Het is een (tamelijk grote en dikke) steek die duidelijk bovenop de stof ligt, in tegenstelling tot een 'low profile stitch', die plat op de stof ligt (zie website). Beide in tegenstelling tot een normale steek, die min of meer in de stof verzonken ligt.
Ik kan helaas geen goede nederlandse referentie vinden.
