(in a patent)
This is in a patent about switches for motor control. I am going with "signaux liés à une synchronisation de grille" for now, but am not convinced... Thanks for any help1

: ça pourrait très bien être le signal d'horloge servant à synchroniser des portes logiques ( automatisation)

Discussion
oui je sais pour le "clock signal" mais justement cela aurait pu être une définition de celui-ci. Mais sans plus de contexte on ne peut faire que des suppositions.
And there's nothing in the source text to suggest there is any element of 'synchronisation' going on here; sadly, Asker has not provided sufficient context for us to be able to know exactly what the situation is, and hence the best translation: all we know is that this is a signal that is in some way related to the timing of a gate or gates. Anything more than that can only be conjecture.
Do you have any discussion of the type of semiconductor devices being used? Do you have any mention of 'gating' of any other kind?
We really do need to see the complete sentence, preferably paragraph in which this is being used.
