Spanish term

adjudicados momentos específicos

Discussing Chichén Itzá. Is the word "en" missing? Even if that's the case, I'm still not certain what adjudicados means in this context. Thank you!

assigned/attributed to specific dates/periods/time intervals

I think the sentence looks as though there are several words missing, otherwise it makes no sense. My suggestion is based on the assumption that the original should read: empiezan a ser adjudicados a momentos específicos. I hope this helps! :-)

Hi Patricia: on second thoughts I have some doubts as to whether the assigning/attributing refers to a past moment (when the paths were built), or to a present moment (they are starting the identification process now). Although my suggested translation could cover both, you might have to put in an appropriate time expression to make this clear. I hope the rest of your context can clarify the ambiguity! :-)

If it refers to the present, the original should probably read: empiezan a ser adjudicados en momentos específicos, as you suggested in your post. The wording is odd however one looks at it -:)

Thank you Patricia, good luck with the translation :-)
Note from asker:
It certainly does! I have been tearing my hair, but your guess on this one (and your answer to my other question) at least let me down a sentence that makes sense. I guess I need to go back to the source and ask them to proofread! Have a nice weekend!
