Spanish term

los mejores tiros de cámara, recorridos y fondos

Spanish to English Other Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
Full sentence:

"Es importante hacer una buena localización técnica para encontrar los mejores tiros de cámara, recorridos y fondos"

The document describes how a commercial is going to be shot and includes sequences of and from inside a helicopter. I'm not sure if "recorridos" is best translated as "sequenecs", "tracks" - or something else.

I'd also appreciate suggestions for "una buena localización técnica"

Discussion

Neil Ashby Aug 9, 2013:
@ asker Hi David, you should really ask about "una buena localización técnica" in a second question - you will also get a better repsonse.
Anyway, I'd be tempted to put "It is important to create/prepare a technically sound/good location..." as opposed to "a good technical location". IMO, my suggested wording emphasises that the location is good because of angles, natural lighting, lack of high buildings, etc. rather than a location that has good technological characteristics (easy access to power, helicopter pad nearby, etc.) which is what I believe the source is saying.
Best opening a second question and debate. ;)

I think 'recorridos' refers to fixed pans or the movement along rails to give running pans. see wiki reference.

agree Neil Ashby : It crossed my mind as well, but then I thought of 'pan' which can include travelling along tracks to achieve the desired effect.
