Spanish term

(du/dt)

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng Frequency Inverter installation problems
This is the context:

El estrés en el aislamiento del motor depende de los altos picos de tensión y de la pendiente (du/dt) del flanco ascendente del pulso. I simply want to know if du/dt change in English as a lot of du and dt appear in Google etc but out of context.

Thank you both for your help :-0))
Andrea Appel Jun 8, 2011:
It should stay that way. It references the derivative of u in t, or du/dt, which is the "slope" they're talking about. It's the math term for it.
