Spanish term

es menos perjudicial dejar de invertir

Spanish to English Marketing Marketing Consultancy
The term appears in this context:

"Un cliente de gran consumo, acostumbrado a tener presencia continua en medios, pide nuestra ayuda para valorar en qué momento/s es menos perjudicial dejar de invertir en televisión."

For the moment I see like this:

"A client from the consumer goods industry, used to having a continued presence in the media, asks for our help to assess the moment/s at which to stop investing on television is less damaging."

Discussion

Isn't this about buying or investing in advertising? Investing by itself implies buying a stake in ownership.

is less prejudicial to not invest in television

I wouldn't use "stop" but rather preserve "menos prejudicial" as it does't mean a full stop on investments but just diminishing it at a specific moment.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Jennifer Levey : "dejar de invertir" does strongly imply a 'full stop' on investment

least damaging (time) to pull out of the investment

In biz-speak, the question would be couched in terms of 'damage limitation', not 'prejudice'. For example:

¿en qué momento/s es menos perjudicial dejar de invertir en televisión?
-->
when is/are (or: would be) the least damaging time(s) to pull out of our investment in TV (advertising)?
Peer comment(s):

agree Andy Watkinson : "pull out"....nice reminder, thanks. All too easy to go on automatic pilot: viz. "stop", "cease"...etc.

when it's best/is the best time to stop investing in television

I would say

"when's the best time to stop investing in television/TV" is more accurate .... "when it's best" is not so good as it could refer to a situation rather than a time and your text refers to time

I think the temporal component is important here and shouldn't be left out
