Thank you! The words that Andrew suggested match with the definition of stenosis that I found, so I decided to take his suggestion. The other ones are fine too, but I feel safer with this version.

Creo que podría ser esto, pues los "stent" a veces llevan dispositivos ópticos incorporados que permiten un examen interno. Puede ser que la lesión de la que hablan reduzca la luz que capta el dispositivo en un 60%.

blocks 60% of the opening

Something fairly common in angioplasty (I've had five and 7 stents) is scarring of the artery after it has been scraped and a stent inserted. The scarring can block the artery requiring more intervention. This occurs about 15% of the time.

The new coated stents reduce this incidence of scarring.
