agree Philip Bazire (X) : I agree with "free fluid in the abdominal cavity" by I think it would be more usual to see "bowel sounds present" in medical English, rather than normal peristaltic sounds (though this term is not strictly incorrect)

agree Patrick Weill : free fluid in abdominal cavity could be confused with pathological symptoms, and I found plenty of references from medical reports for something like "Abdominal examination revealed normal peristaltic sounds"
