Hi,
According to the context tedbir nafakası is something granted to a wife before an impending divorce.
So does “tedbir” have the meaning of “ad hoc”, please? It’s certainly not in my dictionary in that meaning.
Is it only used of alımony or can ıt be used of other things?

or temporary alimony: alimony granted pending a suit for divorce or separation that includes a reasonable allowance for the prosecution of the suit.

Tedbir means precaution and this kind of alimony is called "tedbir nafakası" because it is precautionary; it is "granted in advance" to prevent something unpleasant from happening on the side of the wife until the lawsuit takes place.
