My areas of specialization include: healthcare, marketing, advertising, creative materials, localization, and technical documentation.
I have translated and edited summaries of medical benefits, healthcare contracts, medical letters, health plans and brochures, mail-in prescription programs, product descriptions, instructions of care and use for scrapbooks and DIY art, automobile navigation systems, real estate brochures on how to buy and sell homes, CD covers and inserts, backtranslations of ads, transcription and translations of TV spots, radio ad scripts, and a home planetarium system with audio. I participated in the translation and edit of the content for the web sites for Delta Dental and eMachines. In addition, I have experience in the localization of educational games for children, not only with the translation of scripts for recording, graphics, and packaging but also casting and directing talent during the recordings and performing final quality control. Examples of titles I worked on are Reading with Clifford, I Spy, and Huggly the Turtle.


I was born in Spain and brought up in a bilingual and bicultural household. Traveling has been a big influence in my life: I spent most of my summers in Ireland and did all my college education there. I have also lived in France where I went to university in Tours. After finishing my MA in Translation Studies, I received a grant to go and work in Luxembourg at the European Union, where I trained as a terminologist. After 20 years abroad in Ireland and the USA, I have returned to Spain where I plan to continue translating and learning languages.
