It really doesn't make a difference to me. The deadline usually sets the pace of my productivity. | | | NataliaAnne Brazil Local time: 10:01 Portuguese to English Whenever there are fewest distractions! | Feb 18, 2013 |
This can vary, depending on what’s going on in the house and outside world. | | | neilmac Spain Local time: 15:01 Spanish to English + ... Other - when least interrupted | Feb 18, 2013 |
All day really. I'm probably at my sharpest in the morning, but perhaps not my most productive, because during "normal" working hours is when most distractions occur, like dealing with emails from clients and other business. For example, this morning I intended to send off one finished job and get back to another, "easier" one I wanted to finish today. However, I already have an "urgent" translation in my inbox due tomorrow so I'll do that instead and come back to the other one later. The ... See more All day really. Once all the interruptions are over in the evening is probably when I am left to my own devices long enough to be most productive. Or at weekends... ▲ Collapse | |

As I am a late owl, the most productive time for me in general is mid-afternoon/evening, but it really depends on a lot of factors: job deadline, complexity of the document, familiarity with the subject matter… | | | Thayenga Germany Local time: 15:01 Member (2009) English to German + ...

It all depends on the disturbances...which can occur any time of the day or night. | | | Diana Coada (X) United Kingdom Local time: 14:01 Portuguese to English + ...
which is a big surprise for me, as I've always been a night owl But these days, as I get older, I enjoy mornings more and more, and am most productive before lunch. | | | Nikki Graham United Kingdom Local time: 14:01 Spanish to English When there's silence! | Feb 18, 2013 |
As Neil has said, I'm most productive when I am not interrupted by family and clients. This means before they get up, after they go to bed, and at weekends when I can get rid of, I mean send family on an outing, preferably to grandma's for the day. Although I would much rather not work at weekends and spend time with family, this is sometimes unavoidable and it can be blissful sometimes to work away with no interrup... A good while after I've had my first cuppa tea of the morning. This is an absolute must! I'm a slow starter and it takes time for my engine to get revved up. Generally, mid-morning onwards begins to get productive as long as there are no distractions. From then on, I'm unstoppable. | | | By the way, fellow Prozians | Feb 18, 2013 |
Noise is a funny thing, isn’t it? I have been sandwiched for some time between two construction works and their noise does not bother me at all (I must say that double glazing helps), but if my daughters are happily talking in the next room...
