Spanish term

"se lo pido de rodillas y con el corazón en la mano"

Spanish to English Art/Literary Cinema, Film, TV, Drama

Salu2!

I'm asking / begging you, down on my knees, my heart in my hands

I think it's important to include the "hand" in her line, since she's also acting her words...

So my suggestions are:

"... I'm asking you, down on my knees, my heart in my hand (she simulates taking her heart off her chest and holding it in her hand)

"... I'm begging you, down on my knees, my heart in my hand (she simulates taking her heart off her chest and holding it in her hand)

Good luck!!

Peer comment(s):

agree David Brown : I agree, the actress can't say "heartfelt" whilst simulationg her "heart in her hand"

Yes, this is why I made the suggestion. Being a script/play, the lines have to be very specific! Thanks, David

En vez de "and with" podría ser también "wearing", y queda con el idiom completo ;)

neutral David Brown : "heart on my sleeve" has another meaning "expressing one's emotions freely and openly"

I thought that was what the actress was trying to convey. Thanks.

Spanish term (edited): for "corazón en la mano"...

"baring my soul" or "with my soul laid bare"

since she is actually making a physical gesture of showing her internal self, so to speak.
