Staphylococcus aureus
A common human pathogen. The word Staphylococcus must be capitalized, since it is the name of the genus. ("aureus" is Latin for "golden.")

"golden staph"
You may, depending on the style and intended purpose of the text you are translating, like to add, after the Latin name already so kindly provided, the common name in brackets, thus:
Staphylococcus aureus (golden staphylococcus or "golden staph")
Staphylococcus aureus (golden staphylococcus or "golden staph")

The Staphylococcus aureus
The toxin produced by Staphylococcus aureus, causes a rapid, severe, but limited gastrointestinal distress. For sertifying fish products try to escape other "simplified" terminology.

Staphylococcus aureus
I have a little comment to add. In scientific literature words of Latin origin must be italicized, e.g. species names (Staphylococcus aureus) or 'in vitro', 'in vivo', etc.)
