German term

Absatzständer

German to English Other Cooking / Culinary cake decorating (equipment)
No context other than that it holds the piping bag. Pictures on google show holes in the base.
Pastry/piping bag holder?

Sarah Bessioud Jun 1, 2012:
You are right, the Absatz refers to putting the bags down while you change bags or give your hands a rest, for example.
Veronika McLaren (asker) Jun 1, 2012:
@Wendy I was stumbling over the "Absatz" part, but that is obviously just for setting the bag(s) down while doing the filling. German is so wordy sometimes (Absatzständer für Spritzbeutel)...

stand/holder/rack

Piping bag stand would cover all possibilities, a rack would, IMO, imply that the bags are suspended rather than placed in.

This is a picture of what I would refer to as a rack:

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "This fits best given the fact that the contraption has a number of holes/holders."
