He encontrado tratados en castellano que lo utilizan tal cual en inglés o directamente las siglas, pero necesito traducirlo...
Y es que no tengo muy claro ni lo que significa... :S
Mi intento sería "test/prueba de señalado por autoindicación" o algo así!? Y dejaría la siglas en inglés...

Generalmente aludido como SOPT o por su denominación original inglesa, las traducciones existentes (Señalamiento auto-ordenado/autodirigido; ver refs más abajo) están bien aunque personalmente señalamiento me rechina un poco. Plantearía traducción de sentido incluyendo el característico self-ordered original. Por ejemplo Prueba de elección secuencial autodirigida (SOPT).

The self-ordered pointing test (SOPT) was developed by Petrides and Milner (1982) as a test of working memory for patients with frontal lobe lesions. The task takes the form of a set of pictures of familiar objects or abstract designs, arranged in a grid. These are presented in a different spatial arrangement on each trial and the participant is required to point to a different picture every time. The test requires executive abilities in order to organise and carry out a sequence of responses as well as to retain and constantly monitor the responses made.

A number of images (12 in the figure) are shown to the subject and he is asked to pick one. On the next screen the order of the images is scrambled and the the subject is asked to pick a different image.
This is repeated until the subject picks an image he had selected previously.
