English term

"the diversity of how people experience discrimination"

Non-PRO English Other Other
Practitioners in the field recognise that addressing discrimination from the perspective of a single ground fails to capture the diversity of how people experience discrimination in their daily lives.

Could you please rephrase in plain language "the diversity of how people experience discrimination"?

Thank you!

@All Rubbish English. The author presumably means "The various ways in which people experience discrimination"

@ Asker I think what the text is trying to say is: "... fails to capture the ways in which people experience discrimination in their daily lives".

What are the reasons for discrimination in society?
People may be discriminated against because of their age, disability, ethnicity, origin, political belief, race, religion, sex or gender, sexual orientation, language, culture and on many other grounds.

You don't need "various" and "different" ways in the same sentence, as they are basically the same.
