Latin term

Litteris Italicis

Latin to English Art/Literary Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
The full degree description is: Historia Artium Elegantiorum et Architecturae et Litteris Italicis.
I understand that this is a qualification in the History of Art and Architecture but have drawn a blank with Italian - what? The university web site gives no clue.
Thanks for any help.

Sorry I had to close. Thanks for your help. I wasn't sure of the wording here as the university in question made no mention of Italian literature as part of this course. Have referred it back to the client. Thanks anyway. J.

Italian Literature

This would be clear but the change in case (Litteris Italicis must be dative or ablative) is puzzling. Could you cite the whole sentence?
