This is a metaphor describing trees, and I just wanted to confirm it's talking about the trees stretching their branches upwards.

كأنه قطعة من الفردوس، لطيف الجو، طيب الهواء، أشجار بطول الممر المرصوف، ترفع هممها عاليا تتعانق في سلام ...

So the part about the trees goes like:
'Trees line the paved path, reaching up ambitiously, hugging each other peacefully...'
