The equivalent for Croatian "plakat" is simply a "poster" in English. That means any advertising print larger than A3/B3. Anything smaller is a leaflet.
There are large posters (jumbo posters - your next quest) on billboards. The billboard is, actually, a huge panel alongside busy roads (highways/freeways...) on which the jumbo posters are mounted.
