English term

"deliverables"

English to Italian Other Government / Politics politica di Bush
When asked what sorts of agreements the U.S. will try to conclude during the president's visit, an administration official said: "The visit is the message." In other words, what's most important won't be what diplomats call "deliverables" but the fact that President Bush has come to schmooze an organization he has largely ignored until now, preferring visits to close allies in London, Warsaw and Rome.

risultati tangibili/ raggiunti o traguardi

Concordo con Maria Antonietta. Personalmente parlerei di risultati
tangibili/raggiunti o di traguardi.
Ecco altre definizioni generiche:
An objectively measurable product or service that is a direct result of a project effort or a procurement. Deliverables must be stated as an integral part of the proposal and award documents. The deliverable for many projects can be a report or other objects, and in a time and effort project will be a specified amount of effort as demonstrated by the effort reporting system. A good deliverables list is very noun oriented.

Mi rendo ora conto di essermi spiegata malissimo. In pratica, fino a qualche anno fa deliverable era un \"documento da consegnare\" per un progetto, che riportava le sue finalità. Il significato della parola è stato esteso e oggi viene usato nella sfera politica e scientifica per indicare i risultati tangibili:
In EU funding, the border between science and R&D work seems to be fading, as is evident from the increasing emphasis on detailed research plans that must include promises of well-defined scientific results, now called \"deliverables,\" to be produced at clearly fixed time points.

English term (edited): deliverables

v.s.

http://www.twnside.org.sg/title/ends.htm
"The term ‘deliverables’, according to the New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, is an adjective derived from the verb intransitive, ‘deliver’, and as an adjective is a dated usage 1730-1769, meaning ‘able to be delivered’. And one of the usages of ‘deliver’ is ‘to provide what is expected or what one has promised.’

But ‘deliverables’ as an officialese noun (American style) has crept into the jargon - including last week at the WTO, in relation to Doha and the ‘implementation’ debate there, when the EC spoke of ‘deliverables’ on implementation decisions."

"They have to design whole systems with real deliverables to fully develop their capabilities. . . ."

può essere qualcosa tipo 'prodotto/decisione finale' - 'conclusioni'?
