I compared web pages which exist in both Italian and English versions and came up with the following English terms:
"pressure balancer"
www.protec-italy.com/page/pag9.html
www.protec-italy.com/page/pag32.html
"pressure damper"
www.catterin.com/generale.asp
both of which I would translate into "tryckutjämnare". An explanation of the term found on www.vepautomation.it/ita/cilindri_kc.html seems to confirm that: "...possono essere collegati ad un polmone di compensazione, al fine di ridurre l’incremento di forza durante la corsa di lavoro."
Other English translations of the term include "pressure vessel" > "tryckkärl" and "compensation tank" > "utjämningsbehållare". I would still go for the Swedish term I first suggested. Maybe someone with specific knowledge of the term might have another opinion.
