Open vs closed JSC: rather a tricky question with a number of legal/regulatory aspects, but generally speaking, ЗАТ/CJSC is a close corporation - a JSC with a limited number of participants who are not allowed to sell their shares without consent of other stockholders, whereas ВАТ/OJSC is a kind of public corporation etc… I hope this is of assistance.
