Hi, I wonder could anyone help me with the following sentence. The "allí" here refers to outside in a courtyard...
"Allí apenas se escuchaba la música que se filtraba avaramente del salón"
I had "filtered sparingly" but that sounds a bit strange. I'm even wondering whether we would use "to filter" in this context when it's not filtering "through" anything explicit?
