Spanish term
equilibrismo
Spanish to English

This is from a text about an Argentine contemprary artists:
I know the use of equilibrismo to refer to tight rope walkers, but that does not seem right here
Thanks

equilibrium
I would leave it as equilibrism since it referes to that series of posters they mentioned.

balancing act
As a resident of Argentina, I'm inclined to think that the 'irony' mentioned probably refers to the political situation at the time, which is at best 'a balancing act' performed by the current politician in power. The other terms could also be interpreted as political irony. I may be absolutely wrong (note low confidence) but if I'm not there are probably other indications in the text.

A frequently used term here is 'equilibrismo político'.
