Waste material arising as a result of new building construction, refurbishment or demolition of existing buildings or structures. Materials include bricks, tiles, concrete, steel, glass, plastics and other products generally used in the building industry. Soil or naturally occurring excavated material 'clean fill' in connection with construction activities is also classified as building and demolition waste.
