Hi everyone,
In the passage above, I'm trying to translate the last part.(يحزّ في روحي أيما حزّ) I know that أيما in this context means really, or a lot, but basically I just want to confirm that the idea is that she (this is a mother talking about her daughter leaving on a trip) didn't think it would hurt her so much. It's a Palestinian novel.
So something like:
and would tremendously hurt my spirit soul ?
