Italian term

Crediti immobilizzati a breve termine

Italian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
I don't get this. If they are non-current, how can they be short term? And the Italian expression doesn't get a whole lot of Ghits.

Crediti dell'Attivo Circolante a breve termine
Crediti immobilizzati a breve termine
Crediti dell'Attivo Circolante a m/l termine

I'm not sure of the answer to your question, but I'd say short-term receivables capitalised.

Receivables tied up short term -> held as short-term investments

My Teach-Yourself Italian ain't none too good, but I read the term as 'claims locked in short-term' and extrapolate from the first example sentence a scenario of 'trade investments' : ........ held in other unassociated undertakings, as my own UK accountant would say, and such as associations, partenrships and companies.

Otherwise, I would have agreed with Phil G's translation in the discussion entry or another e.g. our colleague with an Anglo-Welsh name...
Example sentence:

Cosa sono i crediti immobilizzati? dei crediti immobilizzati comprende *crediti di finanziamento verso le imprese non consociate* (ossia delle società controllate, collegate controllanti e quelle sottoposte al controllo delle stesse controllanti)

'quick ratio' : Cash + Short-term investments + net receivables / Total current liabilities
