Portuguese term

comunicação estreita

Portuguese to English Other International Org/Dev/Coop Performance appraisal
This phrase appears at the beginning of a memorandum:

"Obrigada pela comunicacao estreita com nossa equipe sobre ..." [about a contract that is not being renewed]

Any idea what the author means by "estreita" in this context?

Thank you!

Thank you, everyone! Mark was the one who set me straight on interpreting the phrase. I ended up using Barbara's solution.

Reply to Muriel.

Your source text refers to "comunicação estreita com nossa equipa". "Com nossa equipa" seems to refer to a relationship rather than a specific communication, as Phil suggests. Otherwise, the preposition would be a/à.
Note from asker:
But the sentence appears to be referring to a particular communication, like a letter or a memorandum, not communication in the broad sense of the term.
I see it now: more like 'maintaining close communication' in general.

straightforward communication

I am wondering if, in this case, the translation could be "straightforward communication" since the contract won't be renewed.

close relationtionship with our team

Estou considerando que esta pessoa/equipe tenha tido uma longa relação de serviço mútuo, logo, " close relationship"

Thank you for letting us know about ...

Creio que o sentido dessa frase é apenas o de reconhecer o recebimento de alguma informação sobre algum fato ou evento. Então, nesse sentido não precisamos ser literais, dizendo a mesma coisa de outras maneiras.

thanks for staying in close contact with our team

I think the more usual term in American English would be "close CONTACT".

You're welcome. Misinterpreting a sentence once in a great while is certainly understandable, in the case of those whose translation services seem to be constantly in demand, like yours seem to be.
Note from asker:
Thank you, Barbara. I like your answer. It will be hard to choose because Mark was the one who got me on the right track. I was misinterpreting the sentence.
