English translation: crushed bone

Finnish term or phrase: luupuppu
From a description of a cranial procedure:

"Duura kiinni jatkuvalla ompeleella, kohotusompeleet.
1 iso craniofixi ja 2 pientä luulambo kiinni, ja luupuppua trepaanireikään."

The terms of interest here are ”luulambo” and ”luupuppu”.

The hits I've found for the phrase "bone lambo" are pretty sparse, and thus far, the cases I've checked appear to be translations from a language besides English (from Finnish, in some cases).

As for "luupuppu", I've struck out completely. Even Google is unfamiliar with it, as of the posting of this thread.

Don't suppose y'all have some thoughts?

Thanks as always

Here's an article that explains the word "puppu" in Finnish: https://www.kotus.fi/nyt/kolumnit_artikkelit_ja_esitelmat/ki...

As for the "luulambo", it seems to be a CT scan of cranial bones, according to imaging instructions for PPSHP. Could it be that the sentence means that they are using 1 large clamp and 2 small ones, after which the CT is closed and the hole is filled? Bit of an obscure sentence, though.

Actually, it appears that the word is "luulamboo", and in English it would be a "bone flap", so ignore my speculation in the second paragraph above.

in mehrfacher Hinsicht. Während es bei den Osteosyntheseplatten und den CranioFix® zu einer
rigiden Fixierung kommt, bleibt bei den Nähten ein Spiel zwischen den Knochenanteilen zurück.
Bei CranioFix® bleibt durch das mittige Gewinde eine Lücke zwischen den Knochenrändern

Knochenränder werden sorgfältig freigelegt und kontrolliert, ob der Knochendeckel bzw. das
alloplastische Implantat gut passt.
